For a change of pace, set the alarm clock to get up early and watch the sunrise. Then, sip iced coffee and enjoy breakfast at a nearby coffeehouse.
Spend the weekend at a nice hotel. Whether you rent a room downtown or in a nearby suburban setting, a change of scenery and routine will seem like a mini vacation.
Take a road trip and stay at a romantic Bed and Breakfast. The antique furniture will get you reminiscing about your past, and you’ll learn something new about your partner.
Drive to the beach and watch the sunset. Take a walk hand-in-hand and enjoy the sound of the ocean waves. Don’t live near the ocean? How about a lake or a fountain in the city? The sound and coolness of the water will refresh you.
Go sailing. Charter a boat and skipper to do the work for you, or for you more adventurous types, take sailing lessons.
Camp out in the woods and gaze up at the stars. Lying on a blanket gazing at the vast night sky, with its countless stars, your cares and worries will seem insignificant. Make sure to wish upon a shooting star!
Have a picnic. Pack an assortment of crackers, fruit, cheese, deli meats, wine coolers, and water. Spread a blanket under a tree and enjoy the outdoors.
Pamper yourselves at a Couples’ Day Spa. Your man will be surprised by how much he will enjoy a massage, pedicure and just being pampered. And, of course,
with you as a companion!
Go dancing. The physical activity will invigorate both of you. Now’s a good time to take dance lessons if you feel awkward on the dance floor or just want to spice things up.
Grab a blanket, a bottle of wine and enjoy an outdoor summer concert. From major entertainers to local groups, outdoor concerts are a great way to spend a relaxing summer evening. Live music, the cool evening breeze, cuddling under the stars - now that’s romance summer style.
