Spring Beauty Trends...
What’s HOT for 2010
Hair for Spring 2010 is soft and undone - it should have an organic feel. We all know it takes help to get that natural “look”. You can start by making straight hair a little less straight and leave or create some bend in it. Mix textures by adding a large curling iron next to your flat iron.
There is a revival of curly textured do’s. Wear your curly hair natural or refine it with spiral curls with the curling iron. The right product is a must to have shiny, springy, defined curls and not crunchy, 80’s curls. The Curl Conscious line covers all of your curly hair needs from shampoo, conditioner, revitalizer and gel for definition. All of these products have transglutamanase, the ingredient in curl enhancing mascara. It won’t make straight hair curly, but it will put the spring into curly hair.

We are not dictating your hair length - everything goes! Your hair’s TEXTURE is what is going to make you look modern. Use the correct product for your particular texture, fine, medium or coarse - straight or curly, and for the condition or your hair - healthy, sensitized or damaged. Ask your hairdresser about picking the product best for your hair type. Let’s face it girls, we live in Texas, and we want our hair to defy gravity or humidity, or both! You cannot do it without products or by using the WRONG products!

For fine, limp hair, try Bumble and Bumble Thickening Serum. This new, more concentrated version of the classic Thickening Spray uses glucosamine and creatine to increase the hair’s diameter by an average of 8% after 12 weeks of use. Thickening Serum makes a noticeable difference in your hair’s volume. Another “go to” product for all hair textures is Bumble and Bumble Styling Cream. It has the control of a gel with the lightweight texture of a lotion by giving volume and smoothness.

Make-up trends are so pretty this season, and there is something for everyone of every skin tone and age! Use as sheer a foundation as appropriate for your skin. Think soft, dewy and light. Skin is pretty and natural looking. As we know, this does not mean NO make-up. It takes some effort to get that natural look. You can do your morning make-up in less than ten minutes. I recommend that mature skin types avoid powdery foundations. Powders can set into fine lines and call attention to imperfections. Use a liquid foundation to create a smooth, satiny finish. Use a primer before your foundation to make your foundation go on smoother, last longer and minimize fine lines. Try MiAmore Retexturizing Facial Primer SPF20.

Experiment with colors, and I recommend getting your make-up done by a pro TWICE a year. Let someone else take a fresh perspective of your face. If you don’t love it, just wash it off. Have fun and be brave - you may love something new! .
